Our Ethics supports human beings complete dignity and reverence for life. We develop our work with due respect to governments, civil society, religious institutions in particular, and individuals.

It is a challenge and a calling to be part of this fraternity which demands an honest, honorable behavior in keeping with our Vision and Mission.

Vision

The Christian Center for Reflection and Dialogue-Cuba is a fraternal, religious institution with profound social objectives. It is an inclusive, non-profitable organization that from a practical, theological perspective, and at the same time a prophetic and holistic one, humbly welcomes the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. He commands us to love one another as we love ourselves. We invoke the protection and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in our devotion to foster human fraternity and to raise people’s life quality in the different dimensions of the so-called Life system. We will do that with a wisdom that comes from the divine- epignosis- and from the human side-áisthesis-.

We acknowledge that our work should be carried out under historical, global conditions which demand our total discernment -diakrisis- since sin reveals itself as power worshiping and self-sufficiency which affect human dignity and alienate individuals as well as organizations with the family as its first target. The loss of human values, lies, corruption, the physical and psychical violence shown through wars, terrorism, economic coercion, poverty, discrimination against, illiteracy, cultural manipulation and others are among many examples of this.

We are aware of our role as part of a country that has been striving to build an alternative society- like in a laboratory with success and failures- in the face of a frantic capitalism. That is why we keep working to benefit our nation and human kind in general as we look for new horizons and correct our mistakes since all human work can always be improved. (Rom 12. 1-2)

 

 

Mission

Our Mission is to foster culture, humanism and the very best of Christian virtues through processes of analysis, participation, advocacy and solidarity which will contribute to prevent and solve different problems, crisis, and conflicts of diverse nature while reflecting, studying, dialoguing, doing social service, reconciliation and taking communitarian decisions and actions.

The Christian Center for Reflection and Dialogue - Cuba is a religious, fraternal institution that works in the resolution of diverse conflicts since 1991. It emerged in reply to the new problems the Cuban society faced during the so-called austerity period after the collapse of the socialist system in East Europe.
